We are building a faculty and training centre within the town of Kumbo, Cameroon, providing a secure learning environment, experienced teachers with an aim to sustainably still offer educational support services to 200 orphans living in this regions of the country Cameroon yearly as a sustainable project for future generations. Once we are done with this project, we might increase the intake of orphaned and vulnerable children who have gotten no means of receiving quality education for admission and training throughout the 10 regions in Cameroon. this may also host a Library and a lab for research purposes.
There are many orphaned and vulnerable children living in Kumbo at the time of the Anglophone Crisis, consistent with Self Reliance Promoters (SEREP). These children are identified as having lost one or both parents whilst living in extreme poverty. Although SEREP works with many of those children, we are constructing our own school to supply them with a supportive learning environment. Having a faculty would help 100 children yearly and it might be the primary of its kind in Kumbo and its surrounding.
The children would be trained within the school on basic literary and numeracy skills. they might even have the chance to find out vocational skills in our training centre. Above all, they’re going to have a stable, structured environment during which to flourish. Currently, we improving our small computer laboratory and every one of our trainees are receiving quality computer lessons and other vocational and professional courses. an honest construction structure will make their learning environment, very conducive.
The school and training centre are going to be ready to enrol 200 students yearly. it’ll remain a permanent social organization were other activities for the advantage of the community are going to be happening. it’ll also provide further education opportunities for adults and act as a community empowerment Centre. At the instant, we’ve got into a partnership with the Himalayan Institute in Kumbo and therefore the trainees are receiving lessons and vocational education on the making of jewellery as a self-help cours.
